Can I use hypnosis while going through the program?

You can use hypnosis audios only as an add-on to complement your efforts.

Important: Hypnosis is wonderful. In fact, I am a certified hypnotherapy practitioner. However, hypnosis is an insufficient approach when it comes to quitting smoking.

Here’s why:

1. To quit smoking for good and find it easy, you need to change how you think about and experience smoking. That happens when you combine theory with practice. That’s why Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which combines theory and practice at its core, is the #1 scientifically proven solution for addictions.

2. When you do something many times a day, like digesting, breathing, even smoking, your brain makes it unconscious and automatic so it can save you energy.

But when something remains unconscious, it’s harder to change. In the program, you’re turning smoking from an unconscious pattern into a conscious one through mindfulness. So it becomes less automatic and easier to change.

That’s one reason why hypnosis alone doesn’t work in the long term for quitting smoking; it doesn’t increase your self-awareness. Mindfulness is much more effective than hypnosis here.

3. Hypnosis doesn’t teach you coping skills or change your belief that smoking adds value to your life. Beliefs change through mental processing and experience.

And this program offers you both. If you do hypnosis without consciously working on your mental dependence, your core beliefs won’t change.
