This usually happens because of low blood sugar levels.

Nicotine increases the sugar levels in your blood, so when you reduce your nicotine intake or quit, you may experience low blood sugar levels for a few days.

To counteract this, drink orange juice, avoid sugar and processed food, and make sure you have regular meals.
